STATE FESTIVAL
INDIVIDUAL
EVENTS
To the State Festival, a school
may bring ten performance events. UP to five of these events can be Excellents.
A school may bring five technical events. Up to 3 of these technical events can
be Excellents.
A student may participate in up
to three events outside of a one act. All three cannot be performance events.
All three cannot be technical events. To be part of three events a State you
will need to be part of a combination of technical and performance events.
ONE ACTS

AT STATE: There will be 6 main areas of
light: DSL/DC/DSR and USL/UC/USR; along with complete stage washes in two
colors: one warm/one cool.
AT DISTRICTS: Stage Lighting will be provided based on the limitation of
the available venue.

AT STATE: There will be a sound system to
include a minimum of: 3 floor mics, one hand held mic, a CD player, a
cassette player, and a communications system (3 head sets). AT
DISTRICTS: Provisions for Stage Sound will be provided based on the limitation of the
available venue.

Scripts (including musicals) may be
original works, from published material, or cuttings from full-length plays.
Reader’s Theatre or chamber theatre is not allowed.
