Florida State Thespians WorkCrew
Have you ever wondered who puts together your festival behind the scenes? When you send in paperwork, who does it go to? Who makes your name badges? When you're at the State Festival, who are those students walking around in brightly colored polo shirts and walkie-talkies?
The answer to all of these questions is The Florida State Thespians WorkCrew, a volunteer group of students from Douglas Anderson School of the Arts who spend every afternoon after school working with Mr. Higgins and your State Student Representatives to insure that your festival is the best that it can be.
State Student Representative: Ross Corristan
Ross "Little Bear" is a Senior, and the 2009 Festival will be his 4th with WorkCrew. He has stage managed Opening Ceremonies and Douglas Anderson's production of Stage Directions and The Chairs. He feels that it has been an amazing opportunity to serve Florida State Thespians for the past three years and cannot wait for his last. He is very excited about State '09 and the challenges that it will bring and hopes to make it the best one ever.
Asst. State Student Representative: Jessica Ruby
Jessica Ruby is a Junior, who spent all of Festival '08 faithfully working out the ticketing system. She could be found at Registration all day until the Mainstages began where she was then right outside the theatres ready to help with any problems. Jessica has been involved with the theatre for as long as she can remember and feels that being a part of the festival is a wonderful opportunity to further her theatre experience. She eagerly looks forward to her own festival in 2010.

Jack Permenter- Junior; 2nd year on WorkCrew.
Jack is the chick magnet of WorkCrew. He always works diligently at his task, but seems to be followed around by his own posse of girls. (He doesn’t complain.) At school, Jack has been seen in Rapunzel Uncut and The Sugarbean Sisters. Look for Jack and his brown wavy locks of goodness this year at the festival, he’d love to meet you!
